Singer/songwriter John Moore, the RootMaster, provides a rhythm guitar foundation, harmonica and slide guitar fills to the mellow electric guitar leads of Art Borgeson. As a trio, veteran bass players add to band's sound, or harmonica Kat Cosmo fills out the BluesRoot presentation as a four piece. In any configuration, BluesRoot catures the essence, mood, and the raw energy of the early rock 'n roll and post war blues as it made it's way from the cotton fields to Chicago. The group's informal "neightbors sitting on their back porch playing the music they love" approach and song banter encourages crowd interaction and enjoyment.
